N.I.C.E. Northern IL. Cross Country Exchange On August 12, 2002, representatives from five Nordic ski clubs in Northern Illinois met in Naperville for the first ever Illinois Nordic skiing inter-club meeting. Five clubs were present including our own Joliet Nordic Ski club represented by Mark Sayer. The main reason for this meeting and any other meetings we may have is to open up lines of communication among the various clubs and thus expand the opportunities to the members of all the associated cross country ski clubs. The sharing of trip information and trail conditions around the area will be a big benefit to all the clubs involved. We also all need to think about how we can tap into the enormous number of local athletes and health enthusiasts who have not yet discovered out sport our realize that our clubs exist.
